Why it matters

Speed is a ranking factor, a conversion factor and an AI factor.

Google uses Core Web Vitals in ranking and shows the results to everyone in Search Console. A page that loads in one second converts roughly twice as well as one that loads in five, across every industry we have measured. And AI crawlers, which have tight time budgets per page, index fast pages more completely, which is part of why fast sites get cited more often.

Every client site we build ships with the same approach: a performance budget agreed before design starts, a Lighthouse report before launch, and Core Web Vitals monitored afterwards through Search Console. If we would not publish a page like this for your site, we have not finished it.
