Terms and conditions

These terms cover two things: your use of this website, and the standard terms under which Infinite Ideas Web Design ("we", "us"), of Calgary, Alberta, provides services. A signed proposal or agreement always takes precedence over the service terms below.

Using this website

The content of this site is for general information. Prices shown are starting prices in Canadian dollars, exclusive of GST, and are indicative until confirmed in a written quote. The instant website audit and estimator are automated tools that give approximate results; they are not a guarantee of performance, ranking or final cost. You may not use the audit tool to test websites in a way that is abusive, automated or harmful, and we limit its use per visitor.

All text, design, code and images on this site belong to Infinite Ideas Web Design or their respective owners. Client logos and site screenshots are shown with permission. You may link to any page; you may not copy the content for commercial use without asking.

Service terms

Quotes and payment

Project quotes are valid for 30 days. Website projects are billed 50% to start and 50% before launch unless the proposal says otherwise. Monthly services (Care Plans, SEO, AEO/GEO, Google Ads management) are billed at the start of each month and can be cancelled with 30 days written notice. Invoices are due within 15 days. Ad spend is paid by you directly to the advertising platform.

Scope and changes

Each proposal lists the pages, features and rounds of revisions included. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before we start it. Projects are scheduled on the assumption that content and feedback arrive within the agreed timelines; delays on the client side move the launch date accordingly.

Content and ownership

You confirm you have the right to use any text, images, logos and materials you give us. When the final invoice is paid, you own the website: domain, design, code and content. Third-party themes, plugins, fonts, stock images and platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Kajabi, Tiendanube, Joomla and others) remain subject to their own licences. We may show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Hosting and Care Plans

Care Plans include hosting on Canadian servers, software updates, daily backups, security monitoring and the support hours stated in the plan. They do not cover rebuilding a site after changes made by third parties, or work outside the plan's hours, which is quoted separately. If a Care Plan is cancelled we provide a full backup of the site on request.

SEO, AEO, GEO and advertising

Search engines and AI platforms are operated by third parties and change their systems without notice. We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic, AI citations or ad results. We do commit to the work described in your plan, to reporting it honestly, and to telling you when a strategy is not working.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Alberta law, our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, or for downtime, data loss or security incidents caused by third-party platforms, hosting providers, plugins or actions taken by you or others with access to your site.

Cancellation

You may cancel a project at any time. Work completed to that date is billed, and the initial deposit is non-refundable once design work has started. We may end an engagement if invoices are more than 30 days overdue or if the working relationship breaks down, in which case we hand over all work paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta, after a genuine attempt to resolve it by conversation first.
