Ingeniera de los Pies
A clinical podology practice with two locations in Santiago, run by podologist Carolina Cepeda. A hand-built, mobile-first site that loads in 0.8 seconds, ranks for "podóloga" searches in each district and books appointments in one tap on WhatsApp.
The challenge
Two clinics, one brand, and patients who search by neighbourhood. The site had to rank separately for Las Condes and La Florida, explain treatments (ingrown nails, fungal infections, diabetic foot care, sports podiatry) in plain Spanish, and make requesting an appointment a two-tap job, because almost every patient arrives from a phone. A template site would have been slow and would have treated both clinics as one address.
What we did
We hand-built the site, mobile-first, with a page per clinic, a page per treatment, structured data for both addresses and a WhatsApp call to action on every screen.
Mobile first, because that is where the patients are
The site was designed on a phone screen before a desktop one. Large tap targets, one column, the two booking buttons ("Agenda Las Condes", "Agenda KDR La Florida") above the fold, and a floating WhatsApp button that follows the visitor. Desktop is the adaptation, not the other way around.
One page per clinic, one page per treatment
Las Condes and La Florida each have their own page with address, hours, how to get there and the treatments offered at that location, so a search for "podóloga La Florida" lands on the right one. Treatment pages explain what the problem is, what the session involves, how long it takes, what it costs and how to prepare. Written in the Spanish patients use, not clinical jargon.
Appointments by WhatsApp
Chile books everything on WhatsApp, so the site does too. Every treatment page and both clinic pages open a WhatsApp chat with a pre-filled message that names the clinic and the treatment. Carolina answers from her phone between patients. No form, no login, no waiting for an email.
Built to be fast
No page builder, no theme, no plugins. The home page weighs 295 KB. GTmetrix grades it A with 99% performance and 98% structure, largest contentful paint in 0.8 seconds and zero blocking time. Google scores it 86 for mobile performance and 100 for SEO and best practices. On a mid-range Android on mobile data in Santiago, it simply opens.
Local SEO for two districts
Each clinic page targets its district ("podóloga Las Condes", "podóloga La Florida"), the home page targets "podología clínica Santiago", and LocalBusiness structured data carries both addresses, hours and phone numbers so Google Maps and search treat them as two locations of one practice. Patient reviews (5.0 across 10 ratings) sit on the home page.
AEO and GEO
Every treatment page begins with a plain answer (what it is, when to see a podologist, how long it takes, what it costs) and an FAQ with FAQPage structured data covers the questions patients ask before booking. Person structured data describes Carolina Cepeda, her training and her two clinics. That is the material AI assistants quote when someone in Santiago asks where to treat an ingrown nail.
"Carolina's patients are on their phones, in pain, looking for the nearest podologist. The site opens in under a second and the WhatsApp button is right there. That is the whole strategy."
- Design on the phone first when nearly all your patients arrive from one. Desktop is the adaptation.
- Two clinics need two pages and two addresses in structured data. One combined page ranks for neither district.
- A hand-built 295 KB page loads in 0.8 seconds. No page builder can match that.
- WhatsApp with a pre-filled message is the shortest path from "my foot hurts" to an appointment.
Questions about this project
Why a custom build instead of WordPress?
For a small site where speed on mobile matters more than a content editor, a hand-built site is lighter and faster: 295 KB for the home page, no plugins to update, nothing to break. Carolina sends us changes and we make them.
How do patients book an appointment?
By WhatsApp. Each clinic and treatment page opens a chat with a pre-filled message naming the clinic and the treatment, and Carolina confirms the slot directly.
Does the site rank for both clinics?
Each clinic has its own page, its own target search ("podóloga Las Condes", "podóloga La Florida") and its own address in LocalBusiness structured data, so Google treats them as two locations of one practice.
How fast is it?
GTmetrix grade A: 99% performance, 98% structure, largest contentful paint 0.8 seconds, 0 ms blocking time. Google mobile performance 86, SEO and best practices 100.
What does a site like this cost?
